An evening book launch celebrating the publication of 'Black and Asian Seafarers: A Visual History'. Author and Royal Museums Greenwich curator Dr Aaron Jaffer will give an overview of the book, which explores Black and Asian seafarers and how they have appeared in art and photography, with images from the museum's collections and beyond. Volunteers who helped search the archives for crew members of many backgrounds will contribute, and visitors can explore the new display 'Black and Asian seafarers in the age of Cutty Sark'. The evening also includes a book signing, with the ticket including one glass of wine or a soft drink and a discount on the book.
