Boy Blue: 25 Stories is a world-premiere hip-hop dance theatre show marking 25 years of Boy Blue, staged at Stratford East. It is created by the company's co-founders, Michael 'Mikey J' Asante MBE and Kenrick 'H2O' Sandy MBE, together with poet and playwright Inua Ellams. Drawing on voice notes, letters, films and raw conversations from generations of Boy Blue dancers and alumni, it turns real lived experiences into a high-octane stage memoir. Ellams' poetry fuels Asante's new score and Sandy's choreography in a show of sound, word and movement.
