A one-day Court Skills Training course on Care Proceedings and Fact-Finding Hearings, aiming to strengthen confidence, legal understanding and courtroom performance. It is run by the GOSH Learning Academy, with a course directed by Sharon Mudhar, Deputy Trust Solicitor and Head of Education for Legal at GOSH. The course covers the Children Act 1989, statutory duties and the roles of the Local Authority and NHS, and ends with a mock trial led by experienced Family Law barristers. It is aimed at consultants, resident doctors, senior nurses, ACPs and the Safeguarding Service.
