Crick Lecture | Philippa Matthews is a lecture forming part of the Crick lectures series, covering the full spectrum of biomedical research. The speaker, Philippa Matthews, is a Clinical Science Group Leader and head of the HBV elimination laboratory at the Francis Crick Institute. Her talk is titled 'The road to hepatitis B elimination: Dialling down viraemia' and draws on her work on hepatitis B virus infection, using molecular biology to study the interplay between host and pathogen, refine monitoring and treatment, and inform preventive interventions. The talks are open to scientists from other institutes and universities, and attendees should have a minimum of graduate-level biological knowledge.
