DEBUT at Brunel Museum is a candlelit concert series held at the bottom of the Thames Tunnel Shaft, the historic Grade II* listed space at Brunel Museum, with audiences seated just a few feet from the performers. It is run by DEBUT, a group that has staged accessible, fun concerts in unusual London spaces since 2015, founded by soprano Lizzie Holmes, who hosts each night. The evening features three special guest musicians joining resident performers, with programmes curated by the artists spanning classical music and opera alongside unexpected surprises, played in the shaft's cathedral-like acoustics. Drinks are served by the Brunel Bar from 6:30 PM, with cocktails by Midnight Apothecary, and the venue is limited to 65 guests per night, reached down the shaft's stairwell with no lift, though the top balcony is wheelchair accessible.
