Embattled Belief is a talk about the history of religion in the British Army since the Second World War, from the Korean War to Afghanistan. Professor Michael Snape, official historian of the Royal Army Chaplains' Department, draws on his latest book. He considers faith's changing role through the Cold War, the end of empire and the War on Terror, revealing religion's abiding importance even during secularisation.
