Europe Endless: Event One is a screening of 'Europe Endless (EE01): The Spectre of Eurocommunism', an 87-minute film, followed by a talk with Colin MacCabe, Paul Gilroy and Akshi Singh in person, moderated by Francis Gooding. The film is directed by Christopher Roth and produced by Colin MacCabe and Adam Bartos with the Derek Jarman Lab. It is a portrait of Colin MacCabe, critic, Eurocommunist and Godard disciple, and of the political and cultural project of the European left in the 1970s and 80s. Shot on the Irish border, in Italy and in Tuscany, it is about Antonio Gramsci, donkey races, marble and the idea that you need 80% of the people to change politics.
