Evil Sword + Rainham Sheds + Ebby is a live music night hosted by Upset The Rhythm, bringing three acts with experimental approaches to rock and performance, mixing noise, art-focused performance and minimalist indie rock. Headliners Evil Sword are Kate Ferencz and Ben Furgal from Philadelphia, USA, whose chaotic shows blend noise, cryptic metal overtones, performance art and gallows humor with macabre props, flashing lights, stage sets and costumes, despite hardly using any instruments. Rainham Sheds present all-female maximum art-core no-wave, led by performance artist Kate Mahony and featuring members of bands including Shake Chain and Sassyhiya. Ebby are a minimalist indie-rock trio from Rotterdam centered on songwriter Doortje Hiddema, with guitarist Michiel Klein and bassist Casper van der Lans.
