A free, drop-in fossils workshop held at the Visitor Centre in Crystal Palace Park, most suitable for children aged 12 and under. It is run by the Geological Society, the UK's national society for geoscience, whose education team delivers interactive learning sessions. Visitors can handle real fossils, find out what dinosaur teeth, claws and fossil footprints reveal about dinosaurs, learn about the fossil that led to Megalosaurus, one of the first dinosaurs to be scientifically named, and make their own dinosaur pet to take home. No booking is required.
