GIANT - The Play is the big-screen presentation of the critically acclaimed stage play starring John Lithgow as Roald Dahl. Winner of 3 Olivier Awards including Best Play and a Tony Award for John Lithgow, the production was filmed live in London's West End ahead of its sold-out Broadway run, with a cast that includes Aya Cash, Elliot Levey and Rachael Stirling. Set in the summer of 1983, it follows Dahl on a single afternoon at his family home, where the outcry over his antisemitic article forces him to choose between a public apology and his reputation. Inspired by real events, the play uses dark humour to explore the difference between considered opinion and dangerous rhetoric.
