Hackney Folk Club presents a live music evening with AK Patterson at Chats Palace Arts Centre. Patterson is a London-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose songs blend gritty honesty with haunting beauty and find hope in dark themes. Fans have described her as "Buckley with boobs", a reference to Jeff Buckley, while she calls her style modern chamber pop fused with the melancholic spirit of 90s Lilith Fair. Johnny Flynn named her among The Guardian's cultural highlights of 2023, and Guy Garvey called her track The Parting Grace "a bit special" on BBC radio.
