hARTslane Open Studios + Window Artwork Launch is the official unveiling of the new artwork 'Grow and Bloom' by Usva Inei, created for hARTslane's Window Project. The piece is a spray painted flower bouquet in trans flag colours, whose flowers carry historical and cultural meaning for the LGBTQ+ community, signifying celebration, remembrance, resistance, and representation. It responds to current anti-trans politics in the UK and the recent supreme court ruling, aiming to provide hope, representation, and recognition for trans and queer communities. Usva Inei is a trans non-binary visual artist and artist educator working through painting, textiles, and printmaking, whose practice is strongly linked to working with communities.
