Hay Fever is a comedy of bad manners by Noël Coward, staged at Wyndham's Theatre in a new production directed by Emily Burns. Stage and screen icons Christine Baranski, making her West End debut as Judith Bliss, and Richard E. Grant star in it. The retired actress Judith, missing the applause, invites a young fan for a weekend at the family's country home, unaware each of the self-involved Blisses has a guest of their own arriving too. Unsuited to hosting and allergic to compromise, the house erupts into a chaos of parlour games, put-downs and unrequested encores.
