An accessible one-hour online talk introducing how the expressionist artist Paul Klee experimentally embraced nature in his paintings. Speaker Dr Niccola Shearman, an independent art historian, explores how Klee used botanical metaphors to reach beyond imitation of nature towards the metaphysical and the healing potential of plants. No prior knowledge is necessary; attendees can join live at the Museum or stream online, with the recording available for a month.
