This is an exhibition project titled 'if you like rice, you'll understand – Collective Noise', bringing together painting, photography, moving image, text and sound. It is a new project by artist and educator Andrew Pierre Hart, part of a joint programme between iniva and Chelsea Space at Chelsea College of Arts. Drawing on Stuart Hall's cultural studies legacy, it explores sound as a form of learning and cultural exchange, examining the relationship between sound and diasporic experiences. The project includes a cross-site exhibition, an events programme and a publication, supported by The Ampersand Foundation.
