A guided walk introducing the ecology of Abney Park, a central London woodland that became Hackney's first local nature reserve in 1993. It is run by the Abney Park Trust, who explain why the site's ecology matters, how fallen trees let fungi flourish and invertebrates find a home, and why it is now even more under threat. The tour lasts about 90 minutes; booking is required but tickets are free, with donations appreciated.
