A talk marking the UK launch of Conversations with an Executioner, followed by a question-and-answer session and after-hours access to IWM London's Holocaust Galleries. Elżbieta Moczarska, translator Sean Gasper Bye and award-winning historian Roger Moorhouse discuss the book by her late father, Kazimierz Moczarski, a Polish writer, journalist and soldier who fought the Nazi occupation as part of the resistance. Imprisoned by Poland's Communist regime after the war, Moczarski shared a cell with Nazi war criminal Jürgen Stroop, the man responsible for the destruction of the Warsaw Ghetto, and wrote the book as a first-hand account of the 255 days they spent together.
