A commemorative service at St Bride's Church, known as the Journalists' Church, remembering journalists, photographers, audiovisual crews and support staff who have faced death, detention or danger bringing us the news. This year's service, subtitled "Facts Under Fire", recognises the growing number of conflict zones journalists report from, the spread of misinformation, and the growing exclusion of the press when it seeks to hold truth to power. It is led by the Rector of St Bride's, The Revd Canon Dr Alison Joyce, with a keynote address by Mark Phillips, former Senior Foreign Correspondent at CBS News, and music from St Bride's Choir. A retiring collection will be shared between Reporters Without Borders and St Bride's Church.
