Lento e Violento is a performance blending circus, dance, music and magical illusion, whose Italian title means 'Slow and Violent'. It is created and performed by Valentina Cortese, a trained dancer and circus artist. The show is a meditative psychodrama, a multi-layered riddle playing with repetition, disruption and manipulation, in which form matters as much as content. It gently provokes curiosity, seducing audiences into Cortese's enchanting, fantastical universe.
