'Li Jie | Emotional Residue' is a solo exhibition of recent oil paintings shown as a viewing room at HOFA Gallery (House of Fine Art). The artist Li Jie presents his second solo exhibition at the gallery, exploring how time leaves its mark on us, how memory takes shape in relation to space, and how emotion moves through what we see. His paintings show recurring groups of people in moments of togetherness, some crowds brought together by chance and others losing themselves in celebrations, while memories blur yet the emotions tied to them remain vivid. His brushwork is vigorous yet restrained, with rich colours and balanced compositions held in vibrant tension.
