An art exhibition of paintings and works on paper by the American artist Leon Polk Smith (1906–1996), presented under the title 'Line, Color, and the Concept of Space'. The show brings together more than twenty paintings alongside related works on paper, tracing Smith's mature practice from the mid-1950s through 1980. It explores his investigations of positive and negative space, line, color, and form, including several works never before exhibited. The display highlights how simple geometric elements give rise to complex and shifting perceptions of space.
