The London Palestine Film Festival 2026 presents a tribute to Mohammad Bakri (1953–2025), the Palestinian actor and filmmaker who helped shape Palestinian cinema and theatre for over half a century. The evening brings together three of his works spanning two decades: Janin, Jenin (2024), in which he returns with his camera to Jenin refugee camp to document the devastation of the 2023 assault; Le Monde (2026), about a birthday celebration in a café-restaurant where a blind man is the only one who registers the war on television; and Since You Left (2005), a meditation on his mentor Emile Habibi, personal memory and political history.
