Lost Dog – The Last Hamlet is a dance-theatre work imagining the final performance of Hamlet, after which Shakespeare's play will never be staged again. It is made by Lost Dog, an award-winning dance and theatre company led by director and choreographer Ben Duke. Having learned his drama has been cancelled, Hamlet takes the stage one last time with new material, hoping to persuade the audience to let him stay. In the company's hands, Shakespeare's most iconic character becomes the starting point for a darkly comic exploration of existence, love, revenge, and the stories we cannot seem to escape.
