Lucie Rie & Hans Coper: – Life at the Wheel is an exhibition showing the ceramics of Lucie Rie and Hans Coper side by side. It is the first major exhibition in almost three decades dedicated to both artists, with more than 200 works on loan and for sale from private collections. It traces Rie's work from her earliest pieces in Vienna to those thrown on the wheel in 1990, alongside Coper's earliest clay explorations to his last refined forms. The two émigré artists worked together for twelve years at Albion Mews and changed the course of ceramics in Britain and beyond.
