An intimate evening of folk, Americana and atmospheric storytelling in the Green Note's basement bar, with two separate sets from two distinctive voices in contemporary British songwriting. Hampshire-based Lucy Kitchen pairs the warmth of classic 1970s songwriting with songs shaped by nature, grief and transformation, her acclaimed album In the Low Light marking her as a quietly compelling modern folk voice. Nottinghamshire songwriter and visual artist E.R. Thorpe brings a darker, cinematic edge, her debut album Human Love, produced by Jim Baron, pairing unusual fingerpicked guitar with vivid, emotionally charged storytelling praised by BBC Radio 6 Music. Together they offer a close, absorbing listening-room experience for fans of Beth Orton, This Is The Kit, Aldous Harding and PJ Harvey.
