An art exhibition at the Redfern Gallery, running through November, presenting paintings, drawings and sculpture by Lydia Corbett, also known as Sylvette David. Corbett met Pablo Picasso in Vallauris in 1954, when he made more than sixty works of her in three months, the celebrated Sylvette series. The retrospective celebrates that encounter and her own artistic career of seven decades, marked by memory, nature and the landscapes of southern France and Devon. The show is her first at the gallery, and on 4 November there is an artist talk from 4 to 6pm, for which visitors can RSVP.
