A free one-hour seminar titled Metamorphic Form In Art, open to all with advance registration. The speaker is the British artist Clive Head, who first made his name as a realist painter. He will discuss how his recent figurative paintings resist a single, stable reading, and how these ideas relate to representation, perception and pictorial structure. He will also consider historical and contemporary artists whose work uses transformation, ambiguity and visual doubleness, placing his practice in a longer tradition of images that challenge what we see.
