Mrs Robinson is a celebratory portrait of Mary Robinson, following her life and career from her upbringing in Ballina, County Mayo, through her work as a barrister and campaigner, to becoming Ireland's first female president, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and chair of The Elders, the global leadership group founded by Nelson Mandela. The film explores the people, experiences and convictions that shaped her work on human rights, equality and social justice around the world. It was made by Aoife Kelleher. The screening is followed by a Q&A in which Mary Robinson herself speaks about the film, her life and her work.
