My Ex-Lover Turkey is a funny, tender and political solo show with live saxophone. It follows an immigrant in Scotland who collects donations at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, falls in love, and tries to start again, while his 'ex-lover' begins to speak through memory, music and everything left unsaid. Blending storytelling, music and tragicomedy, it explores language, grief, masculinity, migration and belonging to more than one place. It is written and performed by Emre Arslanbek, directed by Turgay Korkmaz, with Ayşe Selin Yanar as assistant director.
