Noises Off is a riotously funny farce about a theatre company desperately trying to keep its disastrous production on the road, while the real drama unfolds backstage: doors are slammed, lines are forgotten, and egos begin unravelling. Written by English playwright Michael Frayn in 1980, inspired by watching one of his own plays from the wings, it is a love letter to backstage chaos. This revival is directed by Stratford East Artistic Director Lisa Spirling and stars Tameka Empson and Paterson Joseph, opening Stratford East's highly anticipated 2027 season.
