Open Friday at the Society: Bewitched is a Halloween-themed open day at the Society of Antiquaries of London. Visitors can explore the ground floor rooms and collections, including Tudor royal portraits, and visit the Victorian Library for a temporary display of books, manuscripts, and broadsides on mystical beliefs and practices. Artist Sarah Newson leads an unconscious drawing activity and helps participants create protective amulets using worldwide symbols of luck and protection, and there is a pick n mix sweet stand in the council room. Fancy dress is encouraged but not mandatory, the event is free with no need to book, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
