"Ossie Clark + Celia Birtwell" is an exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum exploring the life and work of the fashion designer Ossie Clark. His glamorous rock-and-roll designs, featuring distinctive prints by his collaborator and wife Celia Birtwell, made him an iconic and influential figure in 1960s and early 1970s London. Curated by Teresa Collenette and Dennis Nothdruft, it draws on a private collection covering Clark's career from early work to his later collections. Clark's skill in fit and form together with Birtwell's romantic prints inspired by the Ballet Russe and Art Deco created a legacy that still shapes style today.
