Peace Doves is a mass participation art installation filling the Painted Hall with individual handmade doves. It was created by the renowned artist Peter Walker Sculptor, with each dove made by a member of the public and carrying a handwritten message of peace. Doves have symbolised hope, peace and love across many cultures for millennia, and the artwork draws its inspiration from this. It is on display as part of the celebration of 300 years of the Painted Hall's Baroque masterpiece.
