Participants create a double-layered zine rewriting the recipe through their own memories and desires, adding to a growing archive of stories told through food, and take their zines home; all materials are provided and no cooking or writing experience is needed. It is led by artist-facilitators Jo Pereira da Costa, a sensory artist and performance maker who founded Aftertaste, a studio producing edible theatre through dinner-performances, and Rachel, an Anthropology of Food student at SOAS researching mustard and olive oil production for the Food Museum. The workshop is open to adults aged 18 and over, especially queer and trans folks and anyone interested in the social and cultural dimensions of food; it is free to attend with registration via DICE essential.", "url": "https://noky.io/en/london/events/queer-recipes-archive-community-workshop-35261/", "official_url": "https://chatspalace.com/events/queer-recipes-archive-free-workshop/", "image": "https://noky.io/images/efe93358e5b0e6ebb099789778b58d46cb68dbd425de6d8fbc538453c1615b5a-2000.webp", "dates": [{"start": "2026-11-05T13:00:00Z", "end": "2026-11-05T15:00:00Z", "place": "Chats Palace", "address": "Brooksby's Walk 42-44, E9 6DF London", "tickets": ""}], "similar": [{"title": "Reclaiming the Archives", "start": "2026-11-05T18:30:00Z", "end": "2026-11-05T20:30:00Z", "place": "St. Margaret's House", "address": "Old Ford Road 15-23, E2 9PJ London", "price": "£12–£17", "price_from": "12.00", "price_to": "17.00", "tickets_url": "https://www.tickettailor.com/events/stmargaretshouse/2364337/select-date?ref=website_widget&show_event_filter=false", "category": "workshops-courses", "tags": ["diy/zines"], "description": "\"Reclaiming the Archives\" is a hands-on creative workshop at which participants turn their personal photographs into a zine using stitch, writing and collage.
