A concert by Irish singer and multi-instrumentalist Radie Peat at Union Chapel, presented by Bird On The Wire. Peat, known with the groups Lankum and ØXN, is celebrated for her powerful contralto voice and distils the essence of folk music into her songs. She began with the concertina at traditional Irish music sessions and helped form Lankum with Cormac Mac Diarmada, Ian and Daragh Lynch. She later created the doom folk group ØXN with Katie Kim, Eleanor Myler and John 'Spud' Murphy, drawing on the darker side of the Irish song tradition.
