This is a screening of Julián Hernández's film Raging Sun, Raging Sky, with an introduction by season curator Nico Hughes. The film follows Kieri, Ryo and Tari through the hidden spaces of cruising in a city where water becomes a portal between the everyday and the mythic, watched over by a mysterious female spirit known as the 'Heart of the Sky'. Alternating between black and white and colour, it moves from sensuality and violence towards increasingly dreamlike and spiritual realms. The Mexican film is presented in Spanish with English subtitles and runs 191 minutes.
