A concert performance of Richard Strauss' opera Elektra, a monumental tragedy and operatic masterpiece. Critically acclaimed Regents Opera and New Palace Opera are combining to present it, with Catharine Woodward in the title role and Ben Woodward conducting the NPORO Orchestra. The cast also includes Karin Lovelius as Klytaemnestra, Ella de Jongh as Chrysothemis, Ashley Mercer as Orest and Jonathan Finney as Aegisth. Sung in German with English surtitles, the music encompasses both the horrific and the heart-breaking for a gripping and memorable evening.
