Relaxed Opening at The Golden Hinde is a calm morning session for exploring the ship, held on the last Sunday of every month. The Golden Hinde welcomes autistic individuals, people with other neurodiverse needs, and their siblings, families, and carers, with no pressure to take part in any activities. Visitor numbers are limited, noisy devices such as hand dryers and videos are turned off, the space is made as light as possible, and a quiet breakout space with cushions and books is provided. Friendly staff are on hand to answer questions, and each session is 30 minutes long, though visitors may stay longer.
