A Remembrance Sunday meet-up: after paying respects at the Cenotaph, people gather for a drink and food with friends and former colleagues. Each November the United Kingdom remembers the men and women who gave their lives in the two World Wars and subsequent conflicts, also known as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day. It is a time to pay respects to soldiers living and dead and to remember the fallen.
