A special screening of the film Rumba Rules, New Genealogies (2020). It was produced by Twenty Nine Studio and directed by David N. Bernatchez and Sammy Baloji with the collaboration of Kiripi Katembo Siku. The film goes into the daily life of the Brigade Sarbati Orchestra, one of the great orchestras of the current generation in Kinshasa, with nearly thirty artists. Through studio work, rehearsals and concerts, it offers portraits of Congolese rumba as an essay on the meaning of self and rootedness.
