Autumn Term Screen Talks and Networking: Sound in Film

Screen Talks and Networking: Sound in Film is an evening panel event for 18-30 year olds exploring the craft of sound in filmmaking, held in the Davey Studio at the Roundhouse. It is presented by the Roundhouse and brings together sound professionals: dialogue editor Emma Butt, production sound mixer Cassandra Ruthledge, re-recording mixer Jules Woods and composer Jamal Green. The panellists discuss how sound teams collaborate from early production to the final mix, how audio shapes storytelling, atmosphere and emotion, and the realities of working in the industry. Afterwards there is an audience Q&A and a chance to network with fellow filmmakers, creatives and film enthusiasts.
