SPECTACLE (VOILA! Festival) is a solo show in which a world-famous rock superstar arrives before their fans to perform the greatest gig of all time. It is a piece by Finnish comedian Minttu-Maaria Makkonen, produced by HIT Helsinki, combining contemporary clowning, drag and character comedy. The show explores the imagery of stardom and fandom, and masculine charisma in a feminine body. It runs 55 minutes, is recommended for ages 16 and over, and carries warnings for nudity, swearing and flashing lights.
