A special afternoon talk at Bruce Castle Museum celebrating Harringay's speedway heritage, held in memory of Bill Rust, a dear friend of the museum. Peter Lush of London League Publications Ltd leads the talk, recalling Harringay Stadium, long since closed, where crowds watched great riders, and the local team's star racers Jack Parker, Vic Duggan and Split Waterman. Tea and Tottenham Cake will be served afterwards, and books about Harringay Speedway will be available to buy. The talk also honours Bill Rust, who bought and restored the museum's 1937 speedway bike, now on display.
