"Fable" is a solo exhibition of paintings and drawings by the Houston-based artist Terrell James, presented in London. Drawing on the natural world, light, colour and the interplay of memory and perception, the show brings together a new body of work. Inspired in part by ancient sculptures and the forms of fossils and stones, it explores landscapes, habitats, geological formations and organic shapes through vivid colour and dynamic abstraction. Recurring references to trees, animals, ice and shifting terrain evoke a world in constant transformation, offering a meditation on nature, memory and perception.
