A documentary film by Alain Cavalier, premiered at the 2026 Directors Fortnight in Cannes, which invites audiences into the filmmaker's private world, where everyday encounters and filmic reflections become occasions for celebration. Moving between personal diary, documentary and philosophical reflection, it explores time, creativity and the inevitability of death, affirming the camera as both a witness to life and a means of preserving its most ephemeral moments. It celebrates the 95-year-young director as someone whose sense of curiosity and delight remains wonderfully intact. Cavalier appears in the film alongside Françoise Widhoff.
