A talk at the National Army Museum about the British Army's doctrine and policy during the Cold War. Speaker Ben Barry, a former Army officer now Senior Fellow for Land Warfare at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, looks at the Army's Cold War era defending Europe against the Soviet Union. He considers what lessons that period offers for the Army's current and future responsibilities within Nato and the defence of the UK, given the conventional threat posed by Russia.
