The Feministas: Featuring the Fabulous Carol Grimes is an evening of live music to liberate the soul, celebrating the women’s bands of the 1970s/80s, and part of the Chats50 celebrations. It features Diane McLoughlin on saxes and accordion, Deirdre Cartwright on guitar, Alison Rayner on bass, Michele Drees on vocals and percussion, plus very special guest Carol Grimes. These musicians all started their careers in the late 70s and early 80s in bands such as The Guest Stars, Hi Jinx, Candela and Di’s New Outfit, and many played Chats Palace back in its first decade.
