An evening talk at a bookshop in a small pedestrian court in central London. The speaker is Tim Addey, an author, scholar and co-founder of the Prometheus Trust. He gives an in-depth introduction to the metaphysics of the Platonic tradition, which he sees as the foundation of the Western Esoteric Tradition. He traces it from the mythic writings of Homer and Hesiod through the Pythagorean and Orphic schools to Plato and the late antique writers Plotinus, Iamblichus and Proclus.
