The Trojan Women of Today is a theatre piece anchored in Euripides' tragedy, interweaving it with current affairs to bring past and present together. It is directed and produced by Georgina Dimopoulou, with Giulia Rose, Funké Raji and Sanjeeb Kumar Dey also involved. The performance puts Euripides' ancient heroines Hecuba, Andromache and Cassandra in dialogue with the tragic figures of our own time, from Tigray, Syria and Iraq. The horror, it says, is the same whether it happens 2,500 years ago or in 2026.
