"The View" is a devised physical performance running at The Space. It was created and directed by Chloe Shyan, who performs it with Eliza Jean Scott, and is produced in the UK by Wang Shao Kai and in Singapore by WUSHIREN Theatre. Through three interwoven scenarios — a scientist with an endangered bird, a young woman seeking words to tell an old tree she loves it, and two individuals meeting again and again — it explores relationships that transcend spoken language and asks what it means to be seen, heard and known. Sonic and visual landscaping meets physical performance in a show that is occasionally humorous, bordering on absurd, and achingly bittersweet at its core.
